After smoking weed for the first time, Leif Andersen said: “People have been lying to me my entire life.” The people? Fundamentalist Christians. The lie? That marijuana would make you stupid. Leif proudly spread God’s word for almost 30 years. Even after leaving a Christian rock band to join a secular one, he kept cross stickers on guitar cases and always left room for Jesus. Luckily, Leif also left room for logical arguments and new perspectives. And, after engaging in hundreds of backstage debates with band mates, he not only discovered he could toke up and tune in, but also how quickly the questions he formed during these sessions were dismissed by those seen as pillars in the Christian community.
